Transforming the Estate into Wedding Magic

For the Open Day, Confetti + Co Events transformed Balmain Estate into a canvas of inspiration. In the Gallery, we created a micro wedding space bursting with bright, playful colours, perfect for intimate celebrations full of joy and personality. In contrast, the Barrel Room welcomed up to 80 guests in a modern, moody setting, with deep reds, black accents, and sleek aesthetics that highlighted sophistication.

Outside, the Pavilion and Main Lawn were styled beautifully into two seprate ceremony spaces, inviting couples to imagine exchanging vows surrounded by lush greenery, Australian bushland and of course those incredible Balmain vineyards. Every detail and every space was designed to help couples see how their wedding day could unfold at Balmain Estate.

Collaborating with Norman Yap: Turning Vision into Reality

The highlight of the evening was our styled shoot collaboration with the incredibly talented Norman Yap. Working together as the venue and photographer was nothing but smooth and effortless. Norman’s expertise allowed us to showcase Balmain Estate at its absolute best.

Norman has an extraordinary ability to capture the essence of a wedding. He doesn’t just document what happens, he interprets how it feels. By understanding the architecture, the natural light, and the flow of the spaces, he turned every corner of the estate into a frame that tells a story. The result is editorial photography at its finest, Norman’s signature look. It is cinematic, considered and quietly powerful. Norman says his style is about presence over direction, mood over perfection and emotion over everything else.

Through this collaboration, we created images that highlight not just the beauty of the venue, but the atmosphere, the laughter, and the quiet moments that make weddings truly so special.

Our styled shoot came alive thanks to an extraordinary team of vendors. From a stunning gown by Archela Bridal to exquisite florals by Bohemian Flowers and Maple & Wren, every detail was curated to perfection. Candles, draping, lighting, cakes, stationery, and furniture all combined to create an immersive experience that demonstrated the endless possibilities for weddings at Balmain Estate.

Each vendor brought their expertise, helping us craft an environment that was not only visually stunning but also full of warmth, joy, and romance. Together with Norman’s direction, the estate became a living storybook for couples to envision their own special day.
